About us

The Haven Family Medical Practice is a unique general practice that offers their patients a very personalised level of care. The practice continues a journey that started 60 years ago when Dr Whitton and Dr Murdock opened their practice at the rear of the Thorby’s Corner Store. When the Arcade was built, the Doctors moved into purpose-built rooms. Our independent doctors continued the journey of providing care to the community over the next several decades. This was done by Dr O’Halloran joining the practice in 1987 when Dr Murdock retired, and Dr Rust joining in 1992 when Dr Whitton retired. Dr Ganeshananthan commenced in 2022 and all three independent Doctors now continue to provide a high level of care in our new rooms, looking after the medical needs of local families who have been treated for several generations by practitioners in this practice.
